Northwest Brief Therapy Training Center
Olympia, Washington

The Northwest Brief Therapy Training Center was founded in 1994 by its current director, Stephen M. Langer, Ph.D., and is located in Olympia, Washington. The Center provides training and workshops to a wide array of professionals who seek new and practical ways in thinking about therapy and consultation to become more effective in their work or organizations.

NWBTTC is now a member of the International Alliance of Solution-focused Teaching Institutes (IASTI) and is authorized to provide international certification of solution-focused practitioners.

Dr. Langer teaches solution-focused approach in his workshops and training sessions, an approach originated by Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg at the Brief Family Therapy Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He actively participates as a trainer/presenter in many workshops and training sessions in the United States and around the world.

Dr. Langerís success in practicing and teaching solution-focused approach comes from his ability to merge the outcomes between his busy psychotherapy and consultation practice in Olympia, Washington and his popular workshops and training sessions. The merging of the information allows him the flexibility to practice and teach a solution-focused approach model that remains current with the latest findings in both his practice and in his workshops and training sessions.

If you are interested in the solution-focused approach and would like to host a workshop or training session to a group of colleagues or business associates, please contact Dr. Langer.
